Ghanaian streetwear collective Free The Youth has announced the closure of its flagship store on Liberation Road, Accra, with the doors set to shut on 30th May 2026.
The Liberation Road space has served as more than a retail outlet, functioning as a studio, workshop, and creative hub where young people could gather, work, and build. Its closure marks a significant moment in Ghanaian streetwear culture.
To mark the end of the chapter, Free The Youth is hosting a Last Day Pop Up and Party at the store, offering 40% off all pieces throughout the day, a final opportunity for the community to gather, revisit memories, and send the space off properly.

Founded in 2013 by Jonathan Coffie, Kelly Foli, Winfred Mensah, and Richard Ormano, Free The Youth has grown from a group of friends passionate about fashion into one of Ghana’s most recognised streetwear collectives, operating across fashion, creative agency work, and a dedicated NGO arm. Their “Ghetto University” project, which trains youth in screen printing, photography, music, and design, has been central to that broader mission.
The brand described the closure as “bittersweet” but signalled that something new is on the horizon, teasing a new chapter with the message: New chapter loading.
The Last Day Pop Up takes place on 30th May at 111 Liberation Road, Accra.
