Tekno continues the rollout for his forthcoming album Where Did Love Go? with the release of Matter, a smooth, groove-led record centred around love, loyalty, and emotional connection.
Released via emPawa Africa, the self-produced single leans into the rhythmic simplicity and melodic warmth that have long defined Tekno’s sound. Built around soft percussion, subtle bounce, and chant-like repetition, “Matter” blends AfroPop and melodic Afrobeats into an easy, feel-good listening experience.
At its core, the record explores the idea of standing beside someone completely, shutting out outside noise in favour of intimacy and trust. Tekno moves effortlessly between melody, pidgin, and playful lyricism, delivering a record designed for both personal moments and late-night replay value.
