Rema and Tyla Confirmed for FIFA World Cup 2026 Opening Ceremonies

Africa is front and centre at football’s biggest party. Nigerian Afrobeats prince Rema has been named among a star-studded lineup of global artists set to headline the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, joining South African star Tyla, Future, Katy Perry, Anitta, and BLACKPINK’s LISA at Los Angeles Stadium on June 12.

Tyla is also slated to perform at the tournament’s first ceremony on June 11 at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, where hosts Mexico face South Africa — making her the only artist confirmed for two separate opening celebrations.
